Your day sea kayaking will begin with us meeting you in Lower Fishguard harbour at 0930.  The aim is to depart from here but it maybe necessary to travel elsewhere due to the forecast.  Where ever we paddle in Pembrokeshire you can be assured of seeing lots of wildlife, discover hidden caves and have plenty of time to explore.

We’ll help you adjust the footrests in the sea kayaks so that you can reach them and kit you out in the necessary safety equipment.  You will be given a thorough safety brief before getting onto the water and we will coach where necessary and make any final adjustments before leaving the harbour.

Lunch will be on the beach at Pwll Gwealod at around 1300.  The Old Sailors pub is located at the top of the beach and it is possible to get chips etc., from there.  Please note that if your trip is on a Monday they are not open.  We will provide you with a dry bag for your clothes and food as no one likes soggy sandwiches.

In the afternoon around Dinas Head and on to Newport Beach.  Things may pick up a little on the headland but you will soon be round and into calmer water.  There may also be some surf to deal with on Newport Beach.  You arrive there at about 1630.  There is a cafe on the parrog for coffee and you will have 45 minutes to get changed before the Poppit Rocket arrives.  On the return bus journey you will have time to view the photos we have taken of your sea kayaking adventure.  We will upload these photos to our facebook for you the same day.  You will be able to access them even if you’re not a facebook user.

The price includes; guiding, sea kayaks, paddles, waterproof tops, spray-decks, dry bags and transport back to your vehicle.

You will need to bring for your day sea kayaking; wetsuit boots or old trainers, wetsuit or tracksuit bottoms and a fleece top (no jeans), a second fleece top, towel, drinks, lunch and snacks.

Sea kayaks are 17 feet long and under 16’s have a lot more fun in the front of a double with an adult in the back.  Unless they have a BCU three star sea award, we insist they do so.
